Selected Oral Surgery Services
in Austin, TX

Careful diagnostics, clear communication, and comfort-focused treatment for surgical dental needs that can be appropriately managed in our general practice.

In-Office Surgical Care

The Right Care in the Right Setting

Some dental problems require a surgical approach. Broberg Family Dental provides many surgical treatments in the familiar setting of our Austin office, including selected tooth extractions, dental implant placement, and laser soft-tissue procedures.

Dr. Broberg and Dr. Tryon are general dentists, not oral surgeons. We carefully select the cases we treat based on the procedure, your anatomy, your health, and the level of support you may need. When a case calls for specialist expertise, we coordinate care with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

1

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth cannot be predictably saved, we perform many routine and selected surgical extractions with careful planning, comfort options, and practical recovery guidance.

2

Dental Implant Surgery

For eligible patients, implant placement can rebuild a missing tooth from the root up. 3D imaging helps evaluate bone and surrounding anatomy before treatment.

3

Frenectomy & Soft-Tissue Care

When a restrictive frenum affects comfort or function, laser-assisted treatment may release the tissue with precision. Evaluation helps determine whether treatment is appropriate.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Dr. Broberg and Dr. Tryon are general dentists who perform many surgical dental procedures within the scope of their training and experience. Every case is evaluated individually, and we refer to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon when specialist care is the safer or more appropriate choice.
Services may include selected tooth extractions, dental implant placement, bone preservation or grafting related to restorative care, and soft-tissue procedures such as frenectomy. The procedures appropriate for you can only be determined after an examination and any needed imaging.
We consider the complexity of the procedure, tooth position, nearby nerves and sinuses, your medical history, sedation needs, and other risk factors. If specialist training or a hospital-based setting would improve safety or predictability, we will coordinate that referral.
Local anesthesia is used to numb the treatment area, and additional sedation options may be available depending on the procedure and your health. We review these choices with you before treatment so you know what to expect.
Recovery depends on the procedure. We provide written instructions covering discomfort, swelling, food choices, activity, and oral hygiene, along with guidance about symptoms that should prompt a call to our office.
