Lasting Solutions for Jaw Pain, Headaches & Bite Imbalances
If you’re living with debilitating jaw pain, clicking or popping when you chew, facial tenderness, headaches, or even neck and shoulder tension, you may be suffering from a TMJ disorder (temporomandibular joint disorder). These symptoms can be more than just annoying—they can affect how you sleep, eat, speak, and live. For many, the pain is constant, and the cause feels like a mystery. Over time, this kind of discomfort takes a toll on both physical and emotional health.
You Are Not Alone—And You’re Not Imagining It
TMJ and facial pain patients often feel frustrated, having seen multiple specialists with few answers and little relief. Some are told their symptoms are stress-related or “in their head.” Others are handed nightguards that don’t help or prescribed medications that only mask the pain. Many come to our office after months—or even years—of living with chronic discomfort that affects their work, sleep, and relationships.
That’s where Dr. Eric Broberg comes in.
A Specialist Approach Rooted in Precision and Experience
As one of the few general dentists in the Austin area with advanced training in TMJ disorders and complex occlusion, Dr. Broberg offers a deeper, more comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating jaw and facial pain. His expertise comes from extensive post-doctoral education through the Dawson Academy, Spear Education, and Arrowhead Dental Lab—programs known for their excellence in bite analysis, full-mouth rehabilitation, and TMJ care.
What truly sets Dr. Broberg apart is his use of state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. With tools like CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) for 3D imaging and Tekscan bite analysis, Dr. Broberg can evaluate the entire structure and function of your jaw, muscles, and bite. Tekscan, in particular, provides precise data on how your teeth come together—identifying imbalances and excessive forces that can cause or worsen TMJ symptoms.
From there, he creates a customized treatment plan that may include bite adjustments, orthotic therapy, Invisalign for bite correction, or Botox therapy for muscle relaxation. Every step is designed to not only relieve pain but restore function and prevent future issues.
“I first came to Broberg Family Dental because of painful TMJ issues. They suggested Botox treatment, and I was amazed at how much relief it brought—almost immediately, I could chew and talk without discomfort. Not long after, I decided to start Invisalign, and it’s been such a positive experience. Grateful for Dr. Broberg and his staff. Every appointment feels like visiting friends who truly care about my progress.”

Why Patients Say “I Wish I Found You Sooner”
Dr. Broberg’s patients often say the same thing: “I wish I had found you years ago.” That’s because he doesn’t treat symptoms—he finds and treats the root cause. His compassionate, science-driven approach means patients finally feel heard, understood, and—most importantly—relieved of the pain that once dominated their daily lives.
